Just Released: Video Box v1.7a

To start off, we would like to say thank you to all of our customers for your patience and support. Socialdeveloper is our 2nd job so we all have been having trouble setting time aside to further develop the video box plugin. But we have gotten under way, so after some extreme coding, 72 hours without sleep, 24 redbulls, and 11 hotpockets, we have finally got Video Box working again :) Existing customers, drop us a email at support (at)socialdeveloper. net and we will send you the upgrade package. If you purchased the $35 version, there will be a $10 upgrade fee. You can purchase the plugin on the video box post here.

I have a question before purchaseing this plugin. I notice that on your demo website, going to the videos page, playlists are shown by default. This isn’t very usable, as video thumbnails are not visible. Is it possible to disable playlists, such that any user can add any youtube videos, and the video page will only show video thumbnails, sorted by newest by default for example?

Hey Krystian, the new version automatically grabs the youtube thumbnail as the the playlist cover so there aren’t any more ugly folder icons :)

I’m looking forward to this plugin; *really* looking forward to it. If version 1 worked with SE 3.11, I’d buy it immediately…

Yes, I agree. The vidfeeder from radcodes.com has a great API to youtube.com. You can browse/find there all available movies on youtube.com.

Would be great to see a “browse-video” feature in the upcoming Video Box v.2.0 ;)

    Kind regards
    Tom

Something really cool would be if you could add videos to groups. Like each group have their video section.

Hi, just a feature suggestion… would be nice to have browse page where you could select between displaying playlists, or all videos. Maybe an admin setting to set the default but then user could view either way. Look forward to 2.0!!
